Charlotte Bobcats Tickets – Looking Back on Draft Day
Â
Owners of Charlotte Bobcats tickets arenât sure how to feel right now. Theyâve been pretty much inconsolable since their team made a draft day decision that has been called everything from âa bad PR moveâ to âjust stupidâ by the media. The decision to take young point guard D. J. Augustin over big mane Brook Lopez, has been absolutely lambasted since it happened, both by local media outlets and national broadcasters as well. Fortunately, there is a silver lining to what seems to be a dark cloud that has settled over Charlotte basketball.
First of all, Augustin is a good fit in Charlotte. He provides them with a floor general who will help the rest of the Bobcatsâ scorers make plays, giving the Bobcats a potent punch on the offense that should give the owners of Charlotte Bobcats tickets plenty of reason to cheer during the 2008-2009 season. If the Bobcats do indeed start using Augustin quickly, it should also mean more wide-open looks for last yearâs draftee, Adam Morrison. With Augustin carving defenses up, Morrison should get more open looks, leading to more threes, which, hopefully, will lead to more victories.
Their other draft picks in 2008, Alexis Ajinca and Kyle Weaver, are both good values for where they were picked, and they could provide important minutes off the bench in 2008. Ajinca is especially intriguing, with his intense style and energy, he could certainly make quite an impact on this young team quickly.
Itâs still not clear whether or not the Bobcats are ready to take that step to the next level of NBA contention. However, they are attempting to put all the proper pieces together in an effort to produce an Eastern Conference contender. It would seem that they are really starting to build something potent on the offensive side of the ball, but defensively there are still a lot of question marks. One thing is certain. Your team needs you to get out there, buy some Charlotte Bobcats tickets, and start cheering your team on to victory as soon as possible.
